“Road to Rio” is not the new coming soon movie, but it could certainly be the title of a film starring Renaud Lavillenie.
A great result which required a meticulous preparation, followed at every stage by Renaud’s personal trainer Dimitri Gracia, Human Tecar specialist, who used the new therapeutic protocols and the new Synergy Viss technology to improve strength, balance and muscle tone-trophism.
Renaud Lavillenie with his gold medal
At the Oregon Convention Center, Portland, during the opening ceremony, after introducing the athletes in the typical American style with lights and sound effects, the French national anthem was performed. The 16th World Indoor Championship in Athletics was dominated by France that gained the world title with Renaud Lavillenie jumping 6,02m.
With five months to go before the Olympic Games in Rio, this World Championship has been an important test bench for the French athlete who scored a relatively easy victory, dominating all his opponents with just two jumps 5,75m and 5,90m and ending his series with three tries at 6,10 m, some of which were close.
With this gold medal, Lavillenie regains the World Indoor title he first won in Istanbul in 2012. In 2014 he was side-lined with injury. Considering the main five international competitions (Olympic Games, World Indoor and Outdoor Championship, European Indoor Championships), this is the tenth gold medal in his career.
