Kingston, July 2nd, 2016: Usain Bolt’s hamstring injury and the fastest recovery in the world

Less than an hour after posting on Facebook he had been diagnosed with “a Grade 1 tear” of his hamstring at Jamaica’s National Championships, which serve as the country’s Olympic trials, “the Fastest Man in the World” proved he was also the fastest in starting recovery: a second post that day showed the 6-time Olympic gold medallist and 11-time World Champion was on the Human Tecar therapy bed 53 minutes later, “starting the recovery process right away.”

In his own words, the Jamaican champion “hope[s] to show fitness at the London Anniversary Games on July 22 to earn selection for the Olympic Games in Rio.” JAA regulations, in fact, leave room for just that: a medical exemption that will allow Usain to earn selection for the Rio Olympics in London, despite his missing the Kingston final.

If Mr 9.58 Seconds is “Lightning-Bolt” swift in taking action, Human Tecar is just what it takes to “Feel your best. Fast.” Make that “Feel your best, Bolt.”
